Victor Alan Amada is a New Jersey lawyer who practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, workers compensation, motor vehicle accidents, product liability claims, slip and fall cases, premises liability, traffic violations and DUI, criminal law, wills and estates, and insurance disputes.
Mr. Amada was born in Dover, NJ, and grew up in the Shongum Lake section of Randolph Twp. NJ, where he resided with his parents, Leonard S. and Rena Amada, older sister Genine, and older brother, Martin. He participated in youth sports, football, wrestling and track & field.
Mr. Amada is American. His paternal grandparents, Sam and Rose Amada, were of Austrian-Hungarian and German descent, while his maternal grandparents, Leo and Masha Shane, were of Polish and Russian heritage. The name Amada is of Spanish origin meaning “beloved.”
It is reported that several generations ago the Amadas lived in Spain during the inquisition, refused to convert religions and fled to the Austrian-Hungarian Empire rather than be sent to the guillotine. The Amada clan was Sephardic.
A graduate of Randolph High School in 1980 as an All-State wrestler, Mr. Amada was recruited by UNC-Chapel Hill, Lehigh, Lafayette, Old Dominion, and others. He signed a scholar athlete agreement to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, where he was a 4- year varsity letter-man and Mr. November in Men of Virginia Tech, a charity publication for kids in need. Mr. Amada graduated in 1985 with a BA degree in Political Science and a minor in professional writing.
Mr. Amada furthered his education at the University of Baltimore School of Law where he served as class treasurer and a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International. He clerked for Cohen Snyder in Baltimore City, worked as a student criminal prosecutor for the City of Baltimore and was the owner-operator of UltraFit Instruction at the Baltimore Downtown Athletic Club. He was Mr. January in Men of Baltimore, a charity publication and event-based fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis.
Mr. Amada graduated in 1988 and received his JurisDoctorateofLaw. He studied and took the NJ and MD bar exams. Upon passing and admission into the NJ Bar Association he began his legal career 1988.
Mr. Amada began his law career as an associate at Nusbaum Stein in Roxbury, NJ, followed by two years with Maskaleris & Associates in Morristown. In the spring of 1992, Mr. Amada opened his own practice in Randolph, NJ. Several years later he moved his practice to the Flanders section of Mt. Olive NJ where he practices today.

Mr. Amada has successfully represented plaintiffs in personal injury civil litigation for over 28 years. He has obtained millions of dollars for his clients via arbitrations, settlements and mediations. He’s had many court room battles, some more dramatic than others, in several different jurisdictions. He likens it to his many years of battling his wrestling opponents on the mat.
He has successfully defended clients in quasi-criminal and criminal matters, who have been wrongly accused and intimidated.

Mr. Amada has 3 children. Michael Alan, a West Virginia University graduate, is now a MMA fighter. Nicole Marie is a summacumlaude Ramapo College graduate in psychology and current scholar-student at CUNY in the MA/PhD neuroscience program. Jennifer Lee is attending Rutgers University and is a member of ZETA sorority. All work in his Law Office.

Mr. Amada has coached youth sports—wrestling, football, and soccer— and is a former licensed NJ wrestling referee in the Northeast Chapter. He has served as a volunteer legal liaison to the Mt. Olive Soccer Club for many years.
He is an active member the United Presbyterian Church of Flanders, where he has assisted as an auditor, soup kitchen cook, and with the Appalachian Service Project as a volunteer-leader for missions to West Virginia and Tennessee.
